Hello!

We are husband and wife, Mark and Tiff and rescue pup Daisy. Mark grew up on a farm surrounded by barn cats and livestock, while Tiff spent her childhood training dogs and caring for a variety of pets, from mice to bunnies to birds.

Our journey began with the adoption of our first pet together, Penny, from Best Friends Animal Society. Penny was a fierce and independent cat who became the heart of our home. A few years later, we foster-failed with Daisy, a rescue pitbull mix from Wags and Walks, who has since become an essential part of our fostering journey. After the heartbreaking loss of Penny in 2021 and a shift to working from home, we opened their doors to more fosters, particularly cats. Daisy, with her gentle nature, welcomes every new feline and serves as the perfect playmate for visiting dogs.

Saving Daisies was born in October 2023, initially as a way to cope with the overwhelming reality of LA City Animal Shelters. Seeing shelters struggling, rescues stretched thin, and families unable to find resources to keep their pets, we felt compelled to take action.

Our vision was to create a positive and uplifting platform to raise awareness for animal rescue, provide resources, and support local rescue organizations. While Mark dreams of one day opening a cat-friendly wine bar or brewery, Tiff dreams of making spay and neutering free and accessible to all. Our immediate focus is simple: rescue as many animals as possible, whether it’s one at a time or five—whatever we can manage with love and care.

Today’s Mission
